The Silver tones Swing band

Do you recognize the Andrews Sisters, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Rosemary Clooney,
to name a few Big Band legends?
How about "Moonlight Serenade," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "I've Heard that Song Before," "Mambo Italiano"?

If you do, then you'd love to hear the Silver Tones Swing Band!

The Silver Tones started in a garage. Composed of musicians from Northern Virginia and based in Warrenton, the Silver Tones Swing Band premiered in October 2012 at a tribute to World War II and have been entertaining audiences ever since!

Our Band Leader, Dave Shuma, is a well-known local trumpet player who has been a part of many theatre shows and other concerts in the area. Dave is also proud to be an active member of Bugles Across America. He's put together a talented group of dedicated musicians who work hard to put on a great show.

The fauquier Community Band

The Fauquier Community Band, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, provides a friendly and supportive environment in which band members (including musicians who play brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments) of varying skill levels can learn and enhance their musicianship, while offering delightful performances for the community.

The band seeks to foster the musical talent and education of its members, provide quality musical entertainment to the community, and promote the value of musical education to the students and adults of the community. The band has a wonderful blend of youth and experience and is an outstanding example of the benefits of a music education.

Fauquier Community Band plays a wide variety of concert band selections to entertain the audience and challenge the band. The band is open to all musicians from middle school age to adult. See our Join FCB page for more information.
